Grammar School hours are 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Upper School hours are 8:25 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Whom Do I Contact for Assistance?
Transportation
Parents/guardians must notify the school of any changes from regular daily after school transportation for their child by 11:30 a.m.

Lunch Program
We use My Hot Lunchbox for our school lunch program.
For now, please just put your child’s grade in for Homeroom Teacher.

The school orders for approved free-lunch recipients and for approved, pre-paid reduced-price lunch recipients.
Before and After School Care
- Excelsior has Before and After-School Care at our facility run by the YMCA.
- Families can choose to register for the year or the week. They can also choose a 2, 3, or 5 day option for after school and 3 or 5 day option for before school.

In Case of Inclement Weather
Reminder: Excelsior Classical Academy often follows Durham Public Schools in delays and closures, except in rare, announced cases. DPS and surrounding school districts consult the National Weather Service, local weather forecasters, and area law enforcement. Excelsior does as well, and we observe what surrounding districts are doing. We disseminate information on delays and closures through various media. We send BrightArrow notifications to the family contacts in PowerSchool. Excelsior posts on WRAL-TV 5, our website, our Facebook page and group, and Instagram. Please be patient. It takes time to make a decision and get all the notices out, but we do it as quickly as we can.
