On December 6th starting at 6:30 pm, Excelsior’s Winter Concert took place in the third floor commons area. Groups from different classes played a variety of music.
The Instrumental 1 class played Holiday Rock and Santaland Jam; the Jazz Band played Uncle Milo’s Side Show, My Dinner with Ronald, and Santa Claus is Coming to Town; the Instrumental 2 Class played All I want for Christmas is You and Carol of the Bells; and the Guitar Ensemble played Ode to Joy and All My Loving. Mr. Kary, the Upper School Music and Band Teacher, conducted and played guitar, and Mr. Slaughter, English I Teacher, filled in on bass guitar.
The performance was well attended and was also livestreamed on Facebook.
