Jill Murphy’s Biography
Ms. Murphy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from Fairmont State College and a Master of Education in Middle School Mathematics from UNC Chapel Hill. She obtained her NC Professional Educator’s license in Middle Grades Mathematics (6-8). She received her National Board Certification in Mathematics/Early Adolescence. Ms. Murphy has 20 years of teaching experience. She has taught at Sherwood Githens Middle School, Durham School of the Arts, Durham Academy, and Trinity School of Durham and Chapel Hill. Ms. Murphy has two children that attend Excelsior and one that attends Jordan High School.
