Amanda Galindo’s Biography
¡Hola! My name is Amanda (aka Mandy) Galindo. I was born in Texas but really grew up in South Carolina. I graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2004 with a BS in Health Promotion (minor in Sports Medicine) and decided to return for a BS in Spanish, which I obtained in 2013.
I moved to the Raleigh area four years ago in pursuit of additional education and different career opportunities. My goal was to combine my two degrees and become a certified Medical Interpreter, so I began the Community Interpreter program at Durham Technical Community College. However, after spending almost 10 years teaching students of all ages how to ride horses and become lifelong equestrians, I decided to reach out and find a path to teach Spanish instead. I am so grateful that Excelsior has given me the opportunity to share my love of the Spanish language and the many cultures of the people and nations who speak it!
