Terri Barber’s Biography
My name is Terri Barber. I am so excited to be a part of this family! This year will be my 9th year in education. I am a native of Raleigh and graduated from W. G. Enloe High School. I graduated from North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, NC, and moved to Durham in 2003. Prior to entering into education, I served as a Branch Manager of several banks.
In my classroom, I like to cultivate an atmosphere where curiosity is encouraged, where my students learn to problem-solve, where writing is a must, where everyone is comfortable, and where laughter is a rule.
I am a wife and a mother of three children: Madison, CJ, and Fredrick. Excelsior Classical Academy is such a wonderful place to be, and I know that the entire 3rd-grade team is ready for a jam-packed year of life-changing learning! I hope you and your child are ready for all of the excitement and growth as well.
