Stefanie Derby’s Biography
I received my B.S. in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University. Go Apps! I have been honored to work in varying schools and districts and met some really great families along my way. I started my teaching career in Person County Schools, moved over to Wake County Schools, and Durham Public Schools. I am excited about my new adventure with Excelsior Classical Academy.
My husband and I are both natives of Durham. We love the Bull city and are excited to see the continued growth within the city. When we are not working we love spending our time at the DBAP catching a baseball game. We are big baseball fans and love the Chicago Cubs.
We have 4 amazing children. Three of our four children have joined the ECA family.
When our family is not exploring the Bull city we are busy running our own coffee roasting company, Derby Coffee Roasters. Our family is super excited to be part of the Excelsior family!
