Sarah Denes Biography
Sarah Denes was born and raised in Illinois. She earned a BA in music from Amherst College, a MFA in Music Performance and Literature from Mills College, and a MA in Musicology from Duke University. Before coming to ECA, she taught piano, taught classes at a religious school, and taught general music to K-5 at a local private school. She has lived in Durham with her husband and son since 2009. Every year for fun she also organizes a children’s carnival and performs in at least one musical parodies. Her favorite thing about Durham is all the great places to canoe!
