Kennon Walton’s Biography

I enjoy spending time with loved ones, playing sports, and reading and writing. Philosophically, I believe that I am whoever I say I am. I am intentional about reacting to life situations with a growth mindset, framing issues in a positive manner, and encountering problems head on. I’m a rookie teacher, recently graduating with a degree in Public Policy and Education from Duke University in 2024. I’m sure I’ll make plenty of rookie mistakes, but I commit myself to becoming one percent better every day. I’m interested in learning from the educators around me to develop a cohesive, effective education, as well as learning from the students and their families on how to best support them.
